Abstract
This is the preface of a special study about Research on Efficient Discovery of Biological Evidence Traces in Crime Scene Investigation. Sn. Engr., Dr. Tao Liu, Ph.D. is one of the main members of the project team, died unexpectedly in May 2021 shortly after completing the project. Dr. Tao Liu is very professional in the research of forensic optical technology. In Memoriam Sn. Engr., Dr. Tao Liu, Ph.D. (1981–2021).
