Summary
This laboratory study evaluates how heat-exposure duration affects detectable protein in saliva traces recovered from cigarette butts. Samples were examined at several time points and protein levels were measured spectrophotometrically. The results support the possible use of saliva-trace protein analysis on cigarette butts in forensic blood-group identification.
